After our kids' collection, we are (finally) getting down to business with our very first new product of the year - the first of a long series, we assure you! We present to you
Serge, the chambray shirt
Serge is the chambray shirt that you will still have in your wardrobe in 10 or 20 years: a timeless piece , easy to wear in any season and which will bring a little extra to your outfits. Both elegant, under a Gainsbourg-style suit, or casual, as an overshirt over your favourite t-shirt, it adapts to all styles!
WHAT IS CHAMBRAY?
Very similar to denim, chambray is distinguished by its plain weave, which makes it more supple and comfortable, and gives it a unique, slightly mottled appearance.
Although it originated in Cambrai in France, it was in the US that the chambray shirt first became popular with the American working class. More comfortable and breathable than denim, the chambray shirt became the garment of the working class: this is where the famous "blue collar" as opposed to the "white collar" comes from.
Since then, the chambray shirt has become an essential part of the men's wardrobe: from Serge Gainsbourg to Steve Mcqueen, both elegant and casual, it has become an iconic item that adapts to all styles.
SPEAK WELL, SPEAK SERGE
2 models, 2 colours
For this piece, we have decided to offer it in 2 versions, each available in raw or washed .
The button down collar : the classic. This is the classic version of our Ralph shirts, a button down collar without pockets that will look just as good at work as it will with friends.
The worker: the authentic. A version closer to the traditional chambray shirt with its gusseted pockets - very practical for storing your keys, your mask - with a casual style.
As for the finishing touches, you will find the same details as for our Ralph shirts: reinforcement swallows and real mother-of-pearl buttons. As with all our shirts, our Serge shirts are pre-washed to ensure the stability of the material and the colour and that they last even longer!

The fit is the same as our Ralph shirts - tight but comfortable - with a twist: we've added a back pleat for a more relaxed style and total freedom of movement.
HOW TO WEAR IT?
Both elegant and casual, the chambray shirt is an all-rounder: it adapts to all styles and situations. Its light and comfortable fabric allows you to wear it in any season, either alone or as an overshirt over a t-shirt in summer. Or under a jumper in winter or under a blazer à la Serge (Gainsbourg, of course!).
We advise you to take your usual size, and if you already have our Ralph shirts you can take the same size.
No overproduction and always at the right price!
Our Serge shirts are woven in Portugal at Troficolor, a Portuguese workshop that has become a real reference in terms of denim and chambray fabrics, and made at Brunex, our partner workshop specialised in shirt making. They will be produced just for you in pre-order and at the fair price of 69 euros!
