You already know our Elvis jeans, which convinced hundreds of you last year. To start this new year, we wanted to pay homage to an iconic jacket, but not just any jacket: the real jean jacket, the one that has known how to cross the ages without ever losing its authenticity.
THIS IS JIM, THE JEAN JACKET
With Jim, we wanted to revisit the essential denim trucker jacket. An Italian selvedge fabric that will give it this beautiful patina over time, an iconic cut, and always the forlife detail that makes the difference with the choice of a velvet or denim collar! This is a beautiful piece that will age with you without taking a wrinkle :)
An Italian selvedge fabric
As for our jeans, we selected an Italian selvedge fabric in 100% organic cotton. Known to be stronger than a classic denim, selvedge also has the advantage of offering a beautiful patina over time for a unique look! With a weight of 430g/m2 (14 ¾ Oz), there is no doubt that our jacket will stay with you for a long time.
An iconic cut
We took the codes of the iconic denim jacket: a short and straight cut characteristic of the trucker jacket. Metal buttons engraved "forlife". And above all, 4 outside pockets (2 chest pockets and 2 side pockets) and visible seams that give it all its character.
The little forlife touch that always makes the difference: we wanted to bring a touch of originality to this classic by offering an option with a velvet collar. Denim or velvet collar, it's up to you!
Jim, the denim jacket will accompany your style all year round, both layered in winter under a coat and on its own in spring and summer, over a simple t-shirt or over a sweater.
2 washes
Our denim jacket will be available in 2 washes: dark blue, a classic that will give you a nice patina as you wear it, or medium blue, a slightly more washed out shade that we love for its retro style
Ethics down to the wire
Just like our Elvis jeans, we wanted to make our Jim jacket as responsible as possible. Our Italian selvedge fabric comes from Candiani, the denim shop known to be the most ecological in the world! Made of 100% organic cotton, this Italian selvedge fabric embodies innovation and sustainability. It is GOTS and V-SIZING certified, which guarantees the non-use of chemicals.
As for the making of our jacket, we entrusted it to our family workshop Lamosa in Portugal, for their know-how, passed down from generation to generation since 1974.
