For several months, we have been working on a top secret project with Arnaud Chanteloup, founder of the blog Verygoodlord. Together, we set ourselves the challenge of creating a timeless piece, an iconic piece of men's clothing that has become a rare commodity in the shops:
the leather overshirt!

For those who don't know Verygoodlord yet, it's first and foremost a men's fashion blog incarnated by Arnaud, passionate about men's fashion and adept of beautiful things. Since 2012, this aesthete shares his style and lifestyle advice to more than 1 million readers every year.
Very good lord and forlife, it's the story ofa common passion: the love of beautiful things, well made. So when we created forlife, Arnaud was one of the first to talk about us to his community and to support us in our project! So it's quite natural that we thought of him for a first collaboration.
Our overshirt in a few words
We decided to work on a leather shirt because it is an iconic piece of the men's wardrobe that we particularly like, a chic and simple piece to wear on any occasion!
We worked on this overshirt respecting the iconic style of the piece in the manner of vintage Façonnable overshirts: 2 flap pockets, horn buttons, and tone-on-tone stitching for added elegance. Flexible and comfortable, we wanted it to be versatile so that you can wear it over a t-shirt as well as over a sweater or under a layered coat.
An exceptional piece
Made of 100% suede goat leather, its particularity is that it is unlined - unlike our leather jackets - which gives it this suppleness and this "second skin" side that we love. This implies a consequent artisanal work to have impeccable interior finishes.
For the manufacturing, we trusted our long-time partner INTEX with whom we started the forlife adventure with the launch of our very first leather jackets in 2018! This workshop based in India isspecialized in leather, certified LWG (Leather Working Group) which guarantees a sustainable and responsible production of leather.
Every detail has been worked on so that our overshirt will last a long time: the collar is reinforced by a collar stand for a perfect fit, the interior seams are counter-glued for a high-end finish, and the leather is a full grain leather of 5-6mm that will patina and accompany you for life!

Our leather overshirt will be available for the fair price of 279 euros in 4 timeless colors: a beautiful sand, a navy blue that goes with everything, a khaki in a deep green and the inevitable cognac. This is an exceptional piece that requires a lot of work, especially since it is unlined, hence its price!
